Cricket World Cup will be Played at International Dharamshala Stadium

The International Cricket Stadium Dharamshala will also host ODI World Cup matches to be held in October and November after the IPL matches.

The dates of the World Cup matches and the stadiums in India have been shortlisted at the ICC meeting held in Dubai. Dharamshala Cricket Stadium is also included in total of 12 stadiums.

The final match of the Cricket World Cup, starting on October 5, will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on November 19.

Apart from this, other matches will be played in Dharamsala, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Indore, Rajkot, and Mumbai.

T20 Cricket World Cup Matches were Organized in March 2016

In March 2016, Dharamshala Stadium hosted T20 Cricket World Cup matches. A match between India and Pakistan was also proposed here, but due to public protest, the match was shifted from here to Kolkata.

Apart from this, nine matches of the men’s and women’s T20 World Cup were played at Dharamshala Stadium.

Now for the second time, Dharamshala Cricket Stadium will host the World Cup matches. A total of 48 matches will be played in the ODI Cricket World Cup.

It is expected that three to four matches can be played at Dharamshala Stadium.

Stadium Shortlisted for World Cup: Parmar

Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association secretary Avneesh Parmar said that Dharamshala is one of the shortlisted cricket stadiums for the One Day Cricket World Cup matches to be held in India in October-November.

He hoped that three to four matches would come as part of Dharamshala Stadium in this World Cup.
