Now it will be mandatory for auto drivers to wear uniform in RTO Solan. Gopal Chand Sharma has issued these orders after meeting the office bearers of auto unions.
Auto drivers have been given one month’s time, after which it will be mandatory for them to wear dark blue uniforms, as well as to wear badges.
He said that the department will also take strict action regarding subletting of autos. Along with this, the auto drivers will also crack down on arbitrary fares from the passengers.
Dharampal, the head of the auto union, said that this uniform is being imposed on them, while no government driver wears the uniform. They will have to wear uniform under compulsion.
