Daily wagers in Spiti to get employment, allowances round the year: CM Virbhadra Singh

Singh dedicated Kyamo-Hansa bridge over the Spiti river to the people and also laid foundation stone of Sheela Nallah for Kaza irrigation scheme.

About 700 daily wagers in Spiti valley, known as the cold desert, in Himachal Pradesh would get employment and other allowances round the year, Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh said. Addressing a public meeting at Kaza in tribal Lahaul and Spiti district, he said the government was according “high priority” to the development of tribal areas to ensure essential services for the people living there.

He said as per the policy of the government, the daily wagers completing seven years of service would be regularised.

He announced a health sub-centre for Kyamo, upgradation of government middle school, kye gompa to high school and construction of second-storey of Manjushree Bodh Temple.
