Himachal government is going to fill 1900 posts of various categories in the Health Department. This includes 300 doctors, 1000 healthcare workers, and 600 staff nurses.
The process of filling these posts in the health department has started. The matter will soon be brought to the cabinet by the government.
The Health Department is going to fill these posts to strengthen the Community Health Center (CHC) and Primary Health Center (PHC) of Himachal Pradesh.
There are many hospitals including Shimla, Solan, Palampur, Dharampur, and Kullu, where there is more crowd of patients.
Due to lack of staff, people are facing problems in treatment. In such a situation, the Health Department has prepared a proposal to fill the vacant posts.
The department says that staff will be deployed in hospitals in tribal areas first. After that doctors and nurses will be deployed in medical colleges and zonal hospitals.
Health Minister Colonel Dhaniram Shandil said that vacant posts are being filled in the Health Department. It has been decided to run a mobile health van to provide better medical facilities to people at home.
The matter will be raised from the Union Health Ministry regarding the health van. This will also be talked to the Union Health Minister. He said that due to the availability of staff in remote hospitals, patients will also have less weight in medical colleges.
