A delegation of the Truck Operators Union met Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu at the Secretariat on Wednesday and apprised them of their problems.

The Chief Minister urged the truck operators to give their freight rates to the government so that the matter could be taken up with the concerned company.

He said that the State Government is with the truck operators and will not tolerate the exploitation of the truck drivers.

The Chief Minister said that the livelihood of thousands of people of the State was linked to cement factories and other activities, therefore the State Government was committed to resolving the issue amicably.
