Heavy rain to continue in Himachal; yellow alert issued for 10 districts
Heavy rain is likely to continue in Himachal Pradesh today as the State’s Meteorological Centre has issued yellow weather warning for 10 districts.
As per the centre, a yellow alert has been issued for most parts of the state with the exception of tribal districts Kinnaur and Lahaul & Spiti.
Thunderstorms, accompanied with lightning and gusty winds, are likely in 10 districts of the state throughout the day.
Also, minimum temperatures are expected to drop by 2°C to 5°C today due to heavy rains.
The minimum temperature in Shimla was 14.2°C, Dharamsala 16.7°C, Solan 14.5°C, Kangra 18.4°C, Mandi 20.2°C, Sundernagar 19.4°C, Kufri 10.8°C, Kalpa 7.4°C, Una 19.4°C, Nahan 17.7°C, Chamba 19°C, Paonta Sahib 24°C and Bhuntar 17.2°C.
Keylong in Lahaul & Spiti was the coldest as it recorded 6.3°C minimum temperature.
