Trekking to Chandrakhani Pass starts from Naggar village. In such a situation, tourists can also visit Naggar village during their journey to Chandrakhani Pass, which is known for its ancient and historical heritage.

It is also considered the ancient capital of Kullu. Naggar has also gained fame as the home of the Russian painter Nicholas Roerich. Here Nicholas Roerich lived for a long time.

Presently his house has been converted into a museum. Here even today you will be able to see things and pictures related to Nicholas Roerich in his house. The two major tourist places here are Jagatipatta and Naggar Castle.

Seeing Naggar, you will feel as if nature has carved it in great leisure. The Vyas river originating from here also attracts tourists.

Seeing the beauty and cleanliness of the river, tourists feel like taking a dip in it. Tourists visiting here also visit Dapgo Shidrapuling Monastery situated on the banks of river Beas.

This monastery was inaugurated by the Dalai Lama. Apart from this, there are Tripura Sundari Temple, Chamunda Bhagwati Temple and Murlidhar Temple for the devotees to visit.

How to Reach Chanderkhani Pass

Trekking starts from Naggar village to reach Chandrakhani pass. Naggar is about 26 kms from Kullu and about 20 kms from Manali. Buses ply from here to all the major cities of Himachal Pradesh.

If you want to reach Naggar by air, then the nearest airport is Bhuntar Airport, 32 kilometers away.

Flights are available from here to Delhi and Chandigarh. You can take the help of a bus or taxi to reach Naggar from Bhuntar.
