Nubra Valley, situated at a distance of 150 km from Leh, is very attractive and beautiful. The history of this valley is also very old.

According to historians, its history dates back to the seventh century AD. In history, this valley was invaded by Chinese and Mongolia.

Leh to Nubra Journey

To go to Nubra Valley one has to go by road. First of all travel to Khardung La by National Highway. After that the trek is done till Shyok valley via Khardung village.

Before going to Nubra Valley, the travelers have to stay in Leh for two days. Once the travelers get acclimatized here, then they can travel further.

In this journey you will find beautiful roads that will win your heart. On reaching near Nubra Valley you will find a deserted road with sand dunes.

Diskit and Hunder

Diskit and Hunder are the trading center of Nubra Valley. This place is very beautiful. You will easily find hotels, home stays, resorts and tents to stay in Diskit and Hunder. The atmosphere here is also very calm. Two humped camels can also be seen at this place.

How To Reach Nubra Valley

Tourists interested in visiting Nubra Valley can reach this destination by road. For this, one has to reach Leh first via Srinagar or Manali. Before that, you will have to come up to Nubra.

Apart from this, a flight can also be taken to Leh to reach here. After that, you will have to come by road again. The nearest railway station from here is in Jammu.

From there onwards it can be reached by road via Srinagar-Leh. It will be difficult to reach here during winters due to closure of roads due to snowfall.

The best time to visit Nubra Valley is from May to mid-September. It is a bit difficult to reach here during the winter season.
