On Thursday, the opposition walked out of the House on a guarantee of one and a half thousand rupees to women.

Prior to the walkout, the opposition raised slogans, and demanded permission to allow the Leader of Opposition to speak in the House.

At the time when the opposition was creating a ruckus, Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu was responding to the budget in the House. The Speaker wanted to stop the opposition, but the slogans continued.

After this, the opposition went out of the House while talking about not allowing him to speak. Actually, the matter arose when the Chief Minister was talking about giving a pension of Rs 1500 to 2,91000 women.

The opposition objected to this announcement and Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur demanded time to speak. After this, the uproar started in the House and the opposition walked out.

Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that the Congress has not set a deadline to complete the guarantee. In the next four years, all women of the state will be given the benefit of a guarantee. (HDM)
