The first cabinet meeting of the Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu government has been finalized. This meeting will be held at the summit of the State Secretariat on the day of Lohri, January 13, at 12 noon.
This also means that on the day of Lohri, the state government can gift old pension to NPS employees. As soon as he returned from Delhi last night, Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu had given instructions to call a cabinet meeting in a meeting with the officers.
After that, the General Administration Department has issued a notice this morning. The Chief Minister wanted that the decision of the old pension should be a collective decision of the cabinet. That is why the cabinet expansion was awaited.
However, the portfolios are yet to be distributed to the ministers and the cabinet meeting can be held without portfolios. Apart from old pension, cases of giving Rs 1500 to women and giving one lakh jobs in the government sector can also be taken up in this meeting.
The cabinet can also discuss the future strategy regarding making Congress’s pledge an official document and employee transfers.
After the Chief Minister’s oath on December 11, on December 12, the government had stopped the tender process in various departments and also held the transfer of employees. Now the further strategy will be decided in the cabinet itself.
