Double Lane Road Ready Till Samdo Border; Another Strong Fort of India on the Border of China

India has strengthened security on its border with China. BRO 108 RCC (Border Road Organisation) has glazed the Hindustan Tibet Strategic Road from the China Occupied Tibet border to Samdo border.

Along with double-laning of the road from Nako to Chango in Kinnaur at a height of 10,000 feet above sea level, the tiring work has also been completed.

Army vehicles will now be able to reach Samdo border easily in all weather conditions without any hindrance. Along with the Indian Army, advance posts of ITBP are also established in Samdo, who keep an eye on the nefarious activities of China for 24 hours.

The double-laning project on the Chandigarh-Shimla route via the Kinnaur to Samdo border of the Lahaul-Spiti district adjacent to China-occupied Tibet border is fully ready for army vehicles.

Earlier, army vehicles had to travel very slowly from Nako to Chango at a height of 10,000 feet on a kutcha road, but BRO 108 RCC completed the road in a very short time at such a height amidst bitter cold and snow. Along with making it double-lane, tiring work has also been completed on it.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also encouraged the army soldiers by reaching the Samdo border on Diwali. Samdo border has great importance from a strategic point of view.

A few kilometers from here, the border of China-occupied Tibet begins. MLA Ravi Thakur said that BRO is playing an important role in strengthening the border while working in adverse weather on the Indian borders. -hdm
