New scientists have brought more than one model in the ongoing four-day Children’s Science Congress at IIT Mandi. 600 participants from all over the state are participating in this 30th Children’s Science Congress organized by the Himachal Pradesh Council of Science and Technology.
A model of making tea from nettle herb has been presented by the students of Paramount Public School Kihar in Saluni block of remote Chamba district of the state.
The special thing about this tea made from nettle leaf is that it is prepared through steam. Not only this, it is being claimed that this tea cures 16 diseases including blood pressure, sugar.
School student Neeraj Thakur told that with the inspiration of his teacher Dr. Riyaz who is PhD in Biology, he has invented the method of making nettle tea. First of all the leaves of nettle are dried.
After that the whistle of the cooker is opened and a hose is put in it to collect the juice of scorpion herb in a vessel through steam.
