In all the educational institutions of the state, there will be biometric update of the Aadhaar for all students of 5 to 15 years. For this necessary biometric update camps will be organized in the institutes.
In this regard, orders have been issued by Director Higher Education to all educational institutions. According to the issued letter, the Aadhaar updation of students of 5 and 15 years will be disabled on 7 and 17 years.
At present, necessary Aadhaar updates of 5.34 lakh students up to 5 years and 15.2 lakh students up to 15 years are pending.
Guidelines have also been issued to all the concerned officers to coordinate with the district administration for this and to install the necessary equipment for this work so that the Aadhaar biometric update of all the students can be completed.
Himachal Pradesh Samagra Shiksha will act as the nodal agency to implement this project. The heads of all educational institutions have been instructed to facilitate the camps organized for the Aadhaar updation of eligible students and to complete this work on a priority basis.
