Air Travel from Shimla to Dharamshala and Kullu has become Cheaper, Know how much will be the Fare per Seat

Air passengers will now be able to reach Dharamshala from Shimla and Kullu by paying Rs 3,563 per seat. To come back to Shimla also, the fare from both these airports will be Rs 3,563 only. Earlier this journey used to cost Rs 5,138.

Alliance Air, which provides air connectivity, has reduced the fare by Rs 1,575 and given a New Year gift to the people of Himachal Pradesh.

Alliance Air operates thrice a week flights from Shimla to Dharamshala and Kullu. Alliance Air had started air flights for Shimla-Dharamshala and Kullu-Shimla from 9th December.

The flight from Shimla to Dharamshala takes off at 7:40 AM, which reaches Gaggal Airport at 8:30 AM. Whereas, there is a flight from Dharamshala at 8:50 am, which reaches Shimla at 9:40 am.

The flight from Shimla to Kullu takes off at 7:40 am and reaches Kullu at 8:30 am. Whereas, there is a return flight from Kullu to Shimla at 8:50 am, which reaches Shimla at 9:40 am. The representative of the company said that Alliance Air has reduced the air fare in Himachal Pradesh.

In Himachal Pradesh, preparations have started to provide 300 units of free electricity to domestic consumers instead of 125 per month.

Special Chief Secretary and Principal Advisor to the Chief Minister Ramsubhag Singh has sought information from the officials of the Electricity Board regarding three points.

Officials have been asked that how many consumers will get the benefit of 300 units of free electricity? How much will it cost? How will it be compensated? In Himachal, the monthly bills of 14 lakh consumers have become zero due to providing free electricity up to 125 units.

The board is also not charging meter rent and other service charges from such consumers. There are 22.58 lakh consumers of domestic category in the state. The Congress had guaranteed 300 units of electricity per month as soon as it came to power.

The board’s revenue loss has reached 275 crores due to providing free electricity up to 125 units per month to domestic consumers. In lieu of 125 units of free electricity per month, the government is giving a subsidy of Rs 66 crore per month to the board.

From January 2023, the board needs a grant from the government to continue the 125 unit free electricity scheme. By giving 300 units of free electricity per month, the problems of the board are expected to increase further.

Government will have to Give its Share of Electricity

To provide 300 units of electricity per month to domestic consumers, the state government will have to give its share to the supply board. The government gets 12 percent royalty from the power projects established in the state.

The government sells this share to the Northern Grid. Many times the government also sells its shares to the electricity board at cheap rates. Apart from this, the government also has the option of giving a subsidy of more than 100 crores per month to the board.

Willingness can be asked to Give free Electricity

On the lines of Delhi and Punjab, the Himachal government may also voluntarily ask consumers to avail 300 units of free electricity in the state. Under this, consumers will have to apply to the board and tell whether they want free power supply or not.

About Kangra Fort

It is built by Bhuma Chand. It is largest fort in the Himalayas and the oldest dated fort in India. The entrance to the Fort is through a small courtyard enclosed between two gates.

This courtyard were built during the Sikh period.The first attack on the fort was made by the Raja of Kashmir Shreshtha in 470 AD.

The fort resist Akbar siege in 1615. Maharaja Sansar Chand fought multiple battles with Gurkhas. The Sikh king Maharaja Ranjit Singh also fought battle with Gurkhas.

In 1809 the Gurkha army was defeated and the Gurkha army moving back across the Sutlej river. In the foreyard of the Kangra Fort the temple of Laxmi Narayan and Adinath is situated.

The Kapur Sagar ponds is situated inside the Kangra fort. The Kangra fort is now under the control of Archaeological Survey of India. The fort is badly damaged in 1905 earthquake.

History

The Kangra Fort was built by the royal Rajput family of Kangra State (the Katoch dynasty), which traces its origins to the ancient Trigarta Kingdom, mentioned in the Mahabharata epic.

It is the largest fort in the Himalayas and probably the oldest dated fort in India. The fort of Kangra resisted Akbar’s siege in 1615. However, Akbar’s son Jehangir successfully subdued the fort in 1620, forcing the submission of the Raja of Chamba, “the greatest of all the rajas in the region”.

Mughal Emperor Jahangir with the help of Suraj Mal garrisoned with his troops. The Katoch Kings repeatedly looted Mughal controlled regions, weakening the Mughal control and with the decline of Mughal power, Raja Sansar Chand-II succeeded in recovering the ancient fort of his ancestors, in 1789.

Maharaja Sansar Chand fought multiple battles with Gurkhas on one side and Sikh King Maharaja Ranjit Singh on the other. Sansar Chand used to keep his neighboring Kings jailed, and this led to conspiracies against him.

During a battle between the Sikhs and Katochs, the gates of the fort had been kept open for supplies. The Gurkha army entered the opened scarcely armed gates in 1806.

This forced an alliance between Maharaja Sansar Chand and Maharaja Ranjit Singh. Subsequently in 1809 the Gurkha army was defeated and they had to retreat across Sutlej River.

The Fort remained with the Katochs until 1828 when Ranjit Singh annexed it after Sansar Chand’s death. The fort was finally taken by the British after the Sikh war of 1846.

Architecture of Kangra Fort

The Fort is spread over a large area from both sides by a 4 km long outer circuit. Whole of the Fort is guarded by high ramparts and massive wall of black stones. On the right side of the entrance, there is a water pond which is called GO-MUKH.

The major attractions of Fort lies in the huge ‘Darwazas’ that is typical of medieval architecture. All darwazas contain the inscriptions of names of the King, who had once ruled this Fort.

Mild tremors of earthquake were felt in Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi district in the early hours of Monday. A spokesperson of the State Disaster Management Authority said that the intensity of the earthquake, which occurred at 0:42 am, was measured at 2.5 on the Richter scale.

Its epicenter was near DPF Barkot near Sundernagar and 12 km southwest of Mandi town at 31.52 N latitude and 76.80 E longitude at a depth of 3.3 km. There is no report of loss of life or property due to the earthquake.

Mandi’s Praveen Rawat’s Painting City of Gold Got National Honor

Praveen Rawat of Mandi district has been awarded the National Award for Painting “City of Gold”. This painting of Praveen Rawat, displayed in the National Art Exhibition 2023 organized by the State Museum, Shimla, was selected for the National Award. For which he has been given an amount of Rs 21 thousand and a memento.

Painter Praveen Kumar belongs to Pesta village of Balh tehsil of Mandi district. Due to his inclination towards painting, Praveen goes on filling the colors of his imagination on the blank canvas.

Praveen Rawat told about the prized masterpiece that a glimpse of Mandi city and Shivratri fair has been shown in this painting. This painting is currently on display in the State Museum, Shimla. Which will be displayed in the State Museum till 31 January 2023.

Have been Honored in the Year 2018 as well

Praveen Rawat, who holds an MFA degree from Jawaharlal Nehru Arts College Shimla and Kurukshetra University, has also been awarded the National Award in the year 2018 by the State Museum, Shimla.

Apart from this, Praveen was also selected for the National Painting Camp 2021 from Independence to Independence by Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi. Similarly, participating in the National Youth Festival painting competition of 2018, won a bronze medal on behalf of Himachal Pradesh University. Thus he has increased his pride.

Shimla.. Seven MLAs have been made ministers in the Sukhwinder Sukhu government of Himachal Pradesh. The swearing-in ceremony took place at Raj Bhavan Shimla on Sunday. Chief Secretary Prabodh Saxena conducted the proceedings.

Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar administered the oath of office to seven MLAs. A total of 7 MLAs took oath as cabinet ministers including Dr. Dhani Ram Shandil, Chander Kumar, Harshvardhan Chauhan, Jagat Singh Negi, Rohit Thakur, Anirudh Singh and Vikramaditya Singh.

Senior minister Dhaniram Shandil was the first to take the oath of office. After this, Chandra Kumar took the oath of the post of minister at the second place.

Harshvardhan Chauhan in third place, Jagat Singh Negi took oath as minister in fourth place. Rohit Thakur took oath as a minister at the fifth position. Anirudh Singh took the oath of office at the sixth position and Vikramaditya Singh at the seventh position.

Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu on Sunday administered the oath of office and secrecy to six Chief Parliamentary Secretaries ahead of the Himachal Pradesh cabinet expansion. Among them, Sunder Singh Thakur from Kullu, Mohan Lal Brakta from Rohru in Shimla, Ram Kumar Chaudhary from Doon in Solan district, Ashish Butail from Palampur in Kangra, Kishori and six Chief Parliamentary Secretaries were sworn in. Lal of Baijnath of Kangra and Sanjay Awasthi of Arki of Solan.

Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri, Political Advisor to Chief Minister Sunil Sharma, Principal Advisor Media to Chief Minister Naresh Chauhan, Chief Secretary Prabodh Saxena, other senior officers and family members of the newly appointed Chief Parliamentary Secretaries were also present on the occasion.

The initiative to make the Chief Parliamentary Secretary was started in the Virbhadra government. When the limit for making ministers was fixed that apart from the Chief Minister, only 11 ministers could be made.

The wish of the people of the state and the tourists coming to Himachal Pradesh to see snow is about to be fulfilled. Snow flakes will fall in the higher mountain areas from Saturday, while it will rain in the plains.

According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will be bad in the state from January 10 to 12. The lowest temperature was -9.3 degree Celsius in Keylong. Due to the activation of Western Disturbance, there is a possibility of breaking of dry spell in the plains of Himachal.

The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of rain at some places in the plains of the state, Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Kangra and Una.

It has forecast fresh snowfall in the higher reaches of Solan, Shimla, Sirmaur and Mandi in the medium to high altitude areas and rain in the lower areas. There is a possibility of snowfall on the higher peaks of Kullu, Lahaul-Spiti, Kinnaur, Chamba and Kangra in the higher altitude areas.

70 Roads-Two NH Closed

Due to snowfall in the high mountainous areas of the state, problems have increased. Currently 70 roads and two NHs are closed in the state. At the same time, a lift drinking water scheme is also stalled.

In this maximum number of roads are closed including 36 in Lahaul-Spiti, 28 in Udaipur sub-division and 65 roads including one in Spiti sub-division, while NH-505 from Gramphu to Losar, NH-03 from Darcha to Sarchu are lying closed.

Agniveer Vayu Recruitment Exam Date Released, Exam will be Held from January 18 to 24

Indian Air Force has released the exam date and city list for Agniveer Vayu 2022 Recruitment. The registration process for Agniveer Vayu has started from 7th November 2022.

Candidates who are going to appear in the exam can download the released exam date and city list by visiting the official website.

The examination for Indian Air Force Agniveer Recruitment will be conducted from 18 January to 24 January 2023, for which the exam date and exam city has been released on 06 January 2023. And the final enrollment list will be released on June 10, 2023.

The selection in IAF Agniveer Vayu recruitment process will be in three stages. In the first phase there will be an online exam, in the second phase there will also be an online exam and physical fitness test.

Along with this, there will be Adaptability Test One and Two and Medical Exam will be taken in the third phase. The list of selected candidates will be published in February.

The height of the applying male candidate should be at least 152.5 cm and the height of the female candidate should be at least 152 cm. The minimum chest girth of male candidates should be 77 cms. He could expand his chest by 5 cm.

Ten Thousand Fine may have to be Paid on Late Fees, Dispute Over Examination Fees in Technical University Hamirpur

In Himachal Pradesh Technical University, Hamirpur, a dispute has arisen regarding the fees for the papers of Hotel Management first semester. It is worth noting that the examination fee was fixed at Rs 2500, while a fine of Rs 10,000 has been imposed on it for not paying it till December 31.

However, the surprising thing is that neither the concerned department nor the students had any information about this fine. The student is confused about the fact that the fine has been imposed more than the examination fee.

On the other hand, the students have clearly said that they were paying the fees since December 28, but the technical university’s server itself was down. The consequences of which they have to bear.

The university administration has come out in a hurry on the last day itself, due to which the inefficiency of the administration is clearly visible.

Raising the voice of the students, NSUI State General Secretary Tony Thakur said that this is happening for the first time in a government campus that a fine more than the examination fee has been imposed.

He said that the technical university has become a den of corruption. They have taken the money for the identity cards from the students but have not yet given them the identity cards.

Also, the Vice Chancellor is not giving time to the students to meet him. He said that the problems of the students should be redressed soon, otherwise they should be prepared to face the consequences. About six-seven students are being targeted by the administration in this way.

Exams will Start from January 10

Himachal Pradesh Technical University Hamirpur on Thursday issued a notification to start the dates of examinations for undergraduate and postgraduate classes from January 10, which was earlier to start from January 12.

In such a situation, there is a lot of anger among the students. Students also mentioned that in the current time schedule, very few holidays have been given in between papers, due to which students will not get enough time to study.

Through the exhaust fan in the stove, 100 percent of the fire smoke will be pushed inside the chimney. This exhaust fan is installed inside the chimney. In this chimney itself, two mesh tin sieves of steel have been installed.

A sprinkler system has been installed between these two chimneys, which will not allow the fine particles flying through the pipe to come out of the chimney. In such a situation, the fine particles, which are the major cause of air pollution, will not be mixed in the air and environmental protection will also be encouraged.
