A massive fire has taken place in Nehra of Police Post Nehri under the Police Station Colony of Sundernagar, and a 17-room house has been turned into a pile of ashes. There has been a loss of approximately Rs 65 lakh in the fire.

According to the information, due to a sudden fire late on Monday night, the three-storey slate-clad house of Bhag Singh’s son Tavru Ram, which had about 17 rooms, was reduced to ashes.

JBT-Shastri Cabinet discusses batchwise recruitment

Shimla: After the controversy over the guest teacher policy, the state government has taken steps towards direct recruitment process through commission. Chief Secretary Prabodh Saxena has instructed Education Secretary Rakesh Kanwar to take up the matter with the Public Service Commission.

After this, the Education Secretary has written a letter to the Secretary of Public Service Commission for direct recruitment of teachers. It has been said that although the state government has released the information of the State Selection Commission, it will take time for it to become functional.

Therefore, will the Public Service Commission itself be able to recruit 2800 posts of JBT, TGT and C&V teachers to be filled through direct recruitment or not? After getting the consent from the Public Service Commission, the Education Secretary will send the requisition letter for these recruitments.

Only then will it be confirmed that this recruitment will be given to the State Public Service Commission only. Earlier, the Cabinet had approved the recruitment of 5291 teachers in May 2023.

In this, half of the posts to be filled on batchwise basis were being filled by the Education Department itself through counselling.

The Education Minister has told the Directorate of Elementary Education that the list of 800 teachers in TGT batchwise recruitment is ready and this process should be completed quickly, while steps should be taken to obtain permission from the High Court for about 1400 posts in JBT and Shastri.

The Education Minister has also given instructions to hold a meeting with the Advocate General to fill the 20 vacant posts of Deputy Director. Due to the court case, this promotion process has been put on hold.

JEE Mains admit card released; 12 lakh candidates have registered

The National Testing Agency has released the admit cards for the JEE Mains 2024 examination to be held on January 24. Candidates appearing in the JEE Mains exam can download their admit card by visiting the official website of NTA.

The first session of JEE Mains exam will be conducted from January 24 to February 1, 2024. On the first day, the JEE Mains exam will be conducted in two shifts. B.Arch/B.Planning examination will be conducted on the first day.

The B.Tech/BE examination will take place on January 27, 29, 30, 31, and February 1, 2024. The first shift exam will be conducted from 9 to 12 in the morning and the second shift exam will be conducted from 3 to 6 in the afternoon.

Ayodhya Ram Temple: The wait of five centuries will end

Shimla: 4500 pump operators, para fitters and multipurpose workers (MPW) will be recruited in the Jal Shakti Department of Himachal Pradesh. The department has fixed the recruitment rules.

In the review meeting of the Elementary Education Department and Holistic Education held under the chairmanship of Education Secretary Rakesh Kanwar, it has been decided that once again a meeting should be held with the Women and Child Development Department.

Through this meeting, the possibility of starting pre-nursery classes on Chandigarh formula in the Anganwadi center near the school or in the school itself will be explored. For this, the formula of ‘education as well as nutrition’ already exists in the Government of India and the National Education Policy.

However, this formula will not work in stand alone Anganwadi centres. It has been decided in the review meeting that the Education Secretary will first discuss with the Women and Child Development Department, and then the Education Minister will be informed.

As far as the NTT course is concerned, this course of 2 years duration will be started in the state government’s diet. The state government is trying to make 500 primary, 100 high, 200 senior secondary schools and 50 degree colleges centers of excellence from the upcoming education session.

At least five teachers will be given in the primary school itself. There will also be focus on increasing admissions here. Directors of elementary and higher education departments have been asked to send progress reports in this regard to the secretariat.

In this meeting, Dr. Amarjeet Sharma, Director of the Higher Education Department, Rajesh Sharma, Project Director of Samagra Shiksha, besides officials of the Directorate and Secretariat were also present.

40% schools have not been clustered, Chamba is lagging behind

He said that he belongs to an ordinary family and is well aware of the sorrows and problems of the weaker sections of society. During the year the state government has taken many innovative initiatives to improve their standard of living.

The Chief Minister said that the state government is ensuring the successful implementation of the Mukhyamantri Sukh-Aashray Yojana by adopting more than four thousand orphan children as ‘Children of the State’.

He said that Himachal is the first state in the country where the state government is taking the responsibility of care and education of orphan children. The state government is providing Rs 4,000 per month as pocket money to these children till the age of 27 years.

He said that this initiative of the state government reflects the initiative of social upliftment of the deprived sections. The state government is ensuring the all-round development of the state and including the deprived sections of society in the main stream of development.

23 year old youth hanged himself in Shimla

Shimla: The cases of suicide are not stopping in Shimla district. Every day the young generation committing suicide by hanging. In the latest case, 23-year-old Rohit Gill, a resident of Tutikandi, committed suicide by hanging himself near the RTO under Baluganj police station. Police took the youth to IGMC Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

The police is investigating the matter according to the information received, when people saw the young man hanging from the tree, they informed the police about the matter.

Police reached the spot and brought down the young man from the noose and identified him by his name Rohit Gill. The case is being investigated and the reasons for the suicide of the deceased have not been known yet.

The reasons for suicide will be revealed only after the post-mortem report. The cases of suicides are continuously increasing in Himachal. Among these, more men are committing suicide than women.

In the last three years, more than 2000 people have embraced death in Himachal, of which three times more are men. In Shimla alone, there have been around 100 suicides in a year.

Cold wave grips Himachal, fog worsens situation in plains

Selection Process: Eligible candidates will be selected in GIC Recruitment through online written examination, group discussion or interview, and medical test. 200 marks are prescribed for interview, group discussion, and written examination.

Application Fee: For GIC Recruitment, candidates will have to pay Rs 1000 and 18 percent GST. SC, ST, and disabled candidates, and women candidates working in GIC will not have to pay any fee.

ITBP jawan martyred after one and a half month of marriage

Shimla: ITBP jawan Deepesh Parmar, resident of Jajauli village of Jaladi Panchayat of Nadaun sub-division of Hamirpur district of Himachal Pradesh, died in a road accident while on duty.

The martyr was cremated with full military honors on Wednesday. During this, hundreds of moist eyes bid final farewell to Deepesh. Late on Tuesday evening, Deepesh’s body was taken to his native village by an army contingent.

As soon as the mortal remains reached home, everyone’s eyes became moist. The martyr was married only one and a half months ago. Deceased Deepesh Parmar, son of Surjeet Kumar, had joined ITBP three years ago.

He was posted in Arunachal Pradesh and on January 7, while on duty, Dipesh was hit by a vehicle and seriously injured.

He was taken to the army hospital in injured condition. After receiving first aid and seeing his critical condition, he was taken to Zonal Hospital Teju, but Deepesh died during treatment.

Family members said that Deepesh got married on 22nd November and just on 29th December, he had gone back to join duty after completing his leave. Deepesh’s father is also a former soldier.

Deepesh’s mortal remains were cremated by his younger brother Adarsh Parmar. Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, former MLA Vijay Agnihotri, and other leaders have expressed deep condolence on the death of Deepesh.

Chief Minister Sukhu visited the house of the victim’s family, consoled Deepesh’s family, and expressed condolences. He said that the government is with them in this hour of grief.

Buses started running from Manali-Kiratpur four-lane

Kullu: Now HRTC has reduced the fare for Delhi. HRTC has provided great relief to the people of the country and the world by reducing fares. This is great news for travelers coming to Kullu-Manali from across the country and the world.

According to the information, Volvo buses coming from Manali to Delhi, Manali to Chandigarh, Delhi to Manali, and Chandigarh to Manali are now running through the Manali-Kiratpur four-lane. The Himachal Road Transport Corporation has reduced the fare of Volvo buses by running on four lanes.

Now the distance between Manali-Delhi has also reduced due to the four lanes. Let us tell you that Volvo buses used to go to Delhi via Mandi, Sundernagar, Bilaspur, and Sawarghat and came to Manali via this route. Now the passengers have got a big relief from the distance to Swarghat.

At the same time, the problem of traffic jam will also be relieved. This distance was 592 kilometers. Now with four lanes, this distance has reduced to 556 kilometers. Hence, the Manali-Delhi distance was reduced by 35 kilometers.

Now the bus will reach Manali from Delhi one and a half to two hours earlier through four lanes, which will make the journey of the passengers pleasant.

The fare of Volvo from Manali to Delhi was Rs 1689. Now, due to Volvo buses running on four lanes, the fare has been kept at Rs 1589. Therefore, the Himachal Road Transport Corporation has given great relief to the passengers by reducing the fare by Rs 100.

Four Volvo buses are providing services from the Kullu HRTC depot.

Five Volvo buses of HRTC Kullu depot run on the Manali-Delhi route and four Volvo buses of HRTC run on the Manali-Chandigarh route. From Monday, HRTC management has reduced the fares of Volvo buses running Manali-Delhi and Manali-Chandigarh.

Therefore, the Kiratpur-Manali four-lane has become a relief for passengers from all sides. RM Kullu DK Narang said that now Volvo buses are being driven on four lanes. The fares of these buses have been reduced.
