Shimla: After the controversy over the guest teacher policy, the state government has taken steps towards direct recruitment process through commission. Chief Secretary Prabodh Saxena has instructed Education Secretary Rakesh Kanwar to take up the matter with the Public Service Commission.

After this, the Education Secretary has written a letter to the Secretary of Public Service Commission for direct recruitment of teachers. It has been said that although the state government has released the information of the State Selection Commission, it will take time for it to become functional.

The Chief Minister said that the state government is ensuring the successful implementation of the Mukhyamantri Sukh-Aashray Yojana by adopting more than four thousand orphan children as ‘Children of the State’.

He said that Himachal is the first state in the country where the state government is taking the responsibility of care and education of orphan children. The state government is providing Rs 4,000 per month as pocket money to these children till the age of 27 years.

Shimla: The General Insurance Corporation of India (GIC) has invited applications from eligible and interested candidates to fill 85 vacancies of various posts. In this vacancy, recruitment will be done on the posts of scale-III officers related to Hindi, General, Law, and Engineering.

Candidates can apply online till the last date of application 12th January. Candidates willing and eligible to apply for this recruitment drive of GIC can apply by visiting the official website gicre.in.

Selection Process: Eligible candidates will be selected in GIC Recruitment through online written examination, group discussion or interview, and medical test. 200 marks are prescribed for interview, group discussion, and written examination.

Application Fee: For GIC Recruitment, candidates will have to pay Rs 1000 and 18 percent GST. SC, ST, and disabled candidates, and women candidates working in GIC will not have to pay any fee.

Shimla: ITBP jawan Deepesh Parmar, resident of Jajauli village of Jaladi Panchayat of Nadaun sub-division of Hamirpur district of Himachal Pradesh, died in a road accident while on duty.

The martyr was cremated with full military honors on Wednesday. During this, hundreds of moist eyes bid final farewell to Deepesh. Late on Tuesday evening, Deepesh’s body was taken to his native village by an army contingent.

As soon as the mortal remains reached home, everyone’s eyes became moist. The martyr was married only one and a half months ago. Deceased Deepesh Parmar, son of Surjeet Kumar, had joined ITBP three years ago.

He was posted in Arunachal Pradesh and on January 7, while on duty, Dipesh was hit by a vehicle and seriously injured.

He was taken to the army hospital in injured condition. After receiving first aid and seeing his critical condition, he was taken to Zonal Hospital Teju, but Deepesh died during treatment.

Family members said that Deepesh got married on 22nd November and just on 29th December, he had gone back to join duty after completing his leave. Deepesh’s father is also a former soldier.

Deepesh’s mortal remains were cremated by his younger brother Adarsh Parmar. Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, former MLA Vijay Agnihotri, and other leaders have expressed deep condolence on the death of Deepesh.

Chief Minister Sukhu visited the house of the victim’s family, consoled Deepesh’s family, and expressed condolences. He said that the government is with them in this hour of grief.

Kullu: Now HRTC has reduced the fare for Delhi. HRTC has provided great relief to the people of the country and the world by reducing fares. This is great news for travelers coming to Kullu-Manali from across the country and the world.

According to the information, Volvo buses coming from Manali to Delhi, Manali to Chandigarh, Delhi to Manali, and Chandigarh to Manali are now running through the Manali-Kiratpur four-lane. The Himachal Road Transport Corporation has reduced the fare of Volvo buses by running on four lanes.

Now the distance between Manali-Delhi has also reduced due to the four lanes. Let us tell you that Volvo buses used to go to Delhi via Mandi, Sundernagar, Bilaspur, and Sawarghat and came to Manali via this route. Now the passengers have got a big relief from the distance to Swarghat.

At the same time, the problem of traffic jam will also be relieved. This distance was 592 kilometers. Now with four lanes, this distance has reduced to 556 kilometers. Hence, the Manali-Delhi distance was reduced by 35 kilometers.

The fare of Volvo from Manali to Delhi was Rs 1689. Now, due to Volvo buses running on four lanes, the fare has been kept at Rs 1589. Therefore, the Himachal Road Transport Corporation has given great relief to the passengers by reducing the fare by Rs 100.

Four Volvo buses are providing services from the Kullu HRTC depot.

Five Volvo buses of HRTC Kullu depot run on the Manali-Delhi route and four Volvo buses of HRTC run on the Manali-Chandigarh route. From Monday, HRTC management has reduced the fares of Volvo buses running Manali-Delhi and Manali-Chandigarh.

Therefore, the Kiratpur-Manali four-lane has become a relief for passengers from all sides. RM Kullu DK Narang said that now Volvo buses are being driven on four lanes. The fares of these buses have been reduced.
