A target has been set to run the hydrogen train on the Kalka-Shimla route by December this year. After the budget on Wednesday, Railway Minister Ashwani Vaishnav had also informed about this in his statement.

Indian Railways plans to operate hydrogen trains on its heritage routes. The Ambala division of Northern Railway is preparing for this for the last year.

The concerned officials have also conducted a survey of the Kalka-Shimla rail section regarding this. At present, diesel locomotives are operating on this rail section. Hydrogen is considered a clean fuel without pollution.

The use of hydrogen fuel results in zero emission of harmful gases and only water vapour, which is considered clean and eco-friendly in the green cover.

In the first phase, the government has decided to run the hydrogen train only on the narrow gauge track. Railways aim to convert diesel locomotives to hydrogen engines to provide green fuel-based trains.

Hydrogen-powered trains are planned to be introduced as train sets like Vande Bharat Express trains.

The figure of diesel loan of truck operators has reached almost Rs 120 crore. Not only this, the money borrowed for repairs etc. of trucks in the workshops working on the pumps is also stuck with truck operators running into lakhs.

In such a situation, a big economic crisis has arisen in front of the petrol pump operators. They also have to pay 12 to 14 percent interest to the banks. Apart from this, the problem of payment of salary and other expenses of the employees has also increased the concern of the pump operators.

While giving information after the meeting held with the pump operators, the President of Himachal Pradesh Petroleum Association, Sukumar Singh said that due to the closure of the factory, the business of the petrol pump operators has come to a standstill.

The concern of operators is increasing and the loan amount of diesel of truck operators associated with BDTS and ex-servicemen corporation is also not coming back. They have to pay the interest of the banks.

He told that about 40 petrol pumps of different companies are working in Bilaspur district, where truck operators fill diesel in trucks. At most petrol pumps, diesel is taken on credit, which is repaid by the truck operators after months.

He said that apart from ACC Cement Factory, the movement of thousands of trucks from Ambuja and Darlaghat Cement Factories to other states including Punjab passes through Bilaspur district.

That’s why the business of petrol pumps in Solan and Bilaspur districts is better, but due to the closure of Barmana and Darlaghat cement factories for the last 49 days, a big economic crisis has arisen in front of the truck owners.

The trucks are standing and they have also faced problems in paying the loan installments taken from the banks. (hdm)

A temple in Himachal where after every 12 years, lightning strikes the Shivling in the temple and the Shivling is shattered to pieces by that lightning. The surprising thing is that in a few days the broken Shivling gets attached as if nothing had happened.

Today we are talking about Bijli Mahadev Temple located on the highest peak of Mathan mountain at the confluence of Parvati and Vyas river in Kullu district in Himachal. The name of this temple has also been kept because the lightning strikes here every 12 years.

Recently lightning has fallen in this temple on June 11, 2021, which means that the next lightning will fall in 2033. Due to this lightning, the Shivling located in the temple gets shattered, which is a day of celebration for the people of the nearby villages.

Why does Lightning Fall and Why do People Here Celebrate it?

There is a mythological story behind the lightning falling in Bijli Mahadev Temple, which the local residents have been narrating for many years. According to them, in ancient times, a demon named Kulant used to live near this area.

One day that monster took the form of a giant python and reached Ghogghadhar of Mandi via Nagandhar. Then from there Mathan village came via Lahaul Spiti. There he sat down coiled in the middle of the river Vyas.

His aim was to submerge the place by stopping the flow of river Vyas so that all the living beings living there would die by drowning. When Lord Shiva came to know about this, he appeared to stop Kulant.

It was not easy to control a giant python-like monster like Kulan. Lord Shiva first took him into confidence and then said in his ear that his tail was on fire. Hearing this, Kulant immediately turned back to his original form and Lord Shiva hit his head with trident.

The demon Kulant was killed by the blow of the trident and his huge body turned into a mountain at that very moment.

Kulant was dead but the fear of the people of the valley did not end, because Kulant was still there in the form of a mountain and could destroy the valley anytime. That’s why Bhole Shankar himself decided to sit on his head and got established on his head i.e. the top of the mountain.

Along with this, Indra Devta was ordered to make a thunderclap at that place every 12 years. Since then, every 12 years, there has been a continuous sequence of lightning at that place.

To protect people and wealth, Lord Shiva takes this thunderbolt upon himself and that’s why lightning happens on Shivling only.

Due to lightning, the name of this temple has become “Bijli Mahadev Temple”. This temple is also a symbol of the protection of the people of the valley from the demon Kulant.

Frustrated with the Non-Resolution of the Dispute, the Operators Roared during the Demonstration, will block on February 4 in Darlaghat

non-resolution dispute operators block on February 4 Darlaghat

Truck operators of Dadlaghat have announced to block the chakka on February 4. On the 49th day on Tuesday, the truck operators said during the demonstration at Ambuja Chowk that there would be a chakka jam on February 4.

Apart from this, a mahapanchayat will be organized on February 11, to which farmer leader Rakesh Tikait will also be invited.

Although the truck operators are protesting peacefully, after so many days, the reason for not resolving the freight dispute of the truck operators is getting complicated day by day, because on January 31, a meeting of the operators with the Chief Minister was held in Shimla. It was to be held, but the meeting was postponed due to the Chief Minister being stuck in Srinagar due to snowfall.

On Tuesday, as usual, hundreds of truck operators gathered at Ambuja Gate and expressed their anger against the Adani Group.

Ramakrishna Sharma, former head of Baghal Landluzer, told that for 49 days continuous demonstrations are being held by truck operators. Balak Ram Sharma, former head of ADKM, said that apart from blocking traffic, a mahapanchayat would be organized on February 11.

Farmer leader Rakesh Tikait will also be invited to this. He said that soon the place for organizing the Mahapanchayat will also be decided.

In this, the farmers of the upper region will also be able to participate in this against the Adani group. About 15,000 farmers are likely to participate in this mahapanchayat.

Economy Recovered from the Epidemic, Unemployment Decreased, Finance Minister Predicted GDP Growth to be 6.5%

Economy-Recovered-from-Epidemic-Unemployment-Decreased

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, while presenting the economic survey during the budget session on Tuesday, claimed that the country’s economy has now come out of the pandemic and will now grow rapidly. The survey has estimated the GDP growth rate for the financial year 2023-24 to be 6.5 percent.

The Finance Minister said that this would be the slowest growth in the last three years, yet India would remain the fastest-growing major economy in the world.

According to the survey, India is the world’s third-largest economy in terms of PPP (Purchasing Power Parity) and the fifth-largest economy in terms of the exchange rate.

The Survey says the economy will grow at seven percent for the year ending March 2023. The growth rate during the last financial year was 8.7 percent.

According to the Survey, the mainstay of India’s economic growth during FY2023 has been private consumption and capital formation, which has helped in job creation.

This is reflected through a reduction in the urban unemployment rate and a spurt in the total enrollment of the Employees’ Provident Fund. The unemployment rate has come down to 7.2 percent.

Economy-Recovered-from-Epidemic-Unemployment-Decreased

In addition, the world’s second-largest vaccination campaign, in which more than two billion doses have been given. Which has strengthened the sentiment of consumers, which will increase consumption.

Private capital investment needs to lead so employment opportunities can be created rapidly. The pace of recovery in the MSME sector has picked up, which is reflected in the amount of Goods and Services Tax (GST) they pay.

Their Emergency Credit Linked Guarantee Scheme (ECLGS) is easing credit-related concerns. The government’s capital expenditure increased by 63.4 percent in the first eight months of FY2023, which has been a significant driver of growth for the Indian economy in the current financial year. There has been an increase in private capital expenditure from the January-March quarter of 2022.

The review highlights the constraints faced by construction activities due to the pandemic. Vaccination has facilitated migrant workers to come back to the cities.

This has strengthened the housing market. This is reflected in the fact that a significant shortfall has been registered in the stock of manufacturing materials.

The National Family Health Survey (NFHS) has also shown that rural well-being indicators have improved from FY 2016 to FY 2020, covering themes such as gender, fertility rate, household facilities, and women empowerment.

The review states that the Indian economy has been freed from the effects of the pandemic and has recovered faster than other countries in FY2022. The Indian economy is now set to move forward on the pre-pandemic growth path in FY2023.

In the current year, however, India faces the challenge of containing the rise in inflation caused by the European conflict. Measures taken by the government and the RBI and moderation in global commodity prices helped bring down retail inflation below the RBI’s target range from November 2022.

Thus, global growth is projected to decelerate in 2023 and is expected to remain generally weak in the following years. Slower demand will bring down global commodity prices and India’s CAD will improve in FY24.

Inflation in India is likely to slip below five percent in the next financial year as compared to 6.8 percent in the current financial year. In the year 2024, it may come down to four percent.

The International Monetary Fund said this on Tuesday. Daniel Leigh, Division Chief of the IMF’s Research Department, said that the reduction in the rate of inflation is possible due to the steps taken by the central bank and its effect will continue even further.

High Expectations from the General Budget: 500 Crores can be Alloted for Bhanupalli-Bilaspur Rail Line

500-crore-may-be-announced-bhanupali-bilaspur-railway-line

Himachal has high hopes from the general budget of the Central Government this year. There is a possibility of getting a budget of 500 crores from the Central Government for the construction of the under-construction Bhanupalli-Bilaspur rail line.

Last year, Rs 420 crore was received from the Center for this project. Prime Minister Modi aims to reach Bilaspur by rail bia 2024.

Strategically very important and much awaited rail line Bilaspur-Manali-Leh is finding it difficult to find a place in the budget this time also.

Its Detailed Project Report (DPR) was ready in December 2022. The Railway Board had handed it over to the Defense Ministry.

According to the DPR, about 100 thousand crore rupees will be spent on bridges, tunnels, civil works, electrical and tele communication, land acquisition and other works in the project.

In the project, 1100-1100 hectares of land will be acquired in Himachal and Ladakh. It also includes 26 percent forest land.

500-crore-may-be-announced-bhanupali-bilaspur-railway-line

11.5 thousand crore will be spent on land acquisition in the project itself. There will be four sections in this rail line. The first section will be from Bairi to Mandi, second from Mandi to Manali, third from Manali to Upshi and fourth from Upshi to Leh.

After handing over the DPR to the Defense Ministry, the action for its budget was to be completed, but it has not been completed yet.

According to sources, considering the importance of this project, PM Modi may announce the budget before the Lok Sabha elections.

After the change of government in Himachal, now the dream project of Union Minister Anurag Thakur is also hanging in the balance.

To keep this project alive, an amount of one thousand was given for it from the last two budgets, but later Anurag Thakur intervened and got the DPR changed in the year 2022 to reduce the cost of the project. The length of this project was earlier 54 km. Now it is 40.7 kms.

People expected that after changing the DPR, the project would get a place in this budget, but the state government was to have a stake in this project along with the Centre.

On March 10, 2022, the Chief Secretary of the government wrote a letter agreeing to give 25 percent share for this project.

The rate of return of the project is 5.09 percent, but now the government has changed in the state. Now the yes or no of the state government will decide the future of this project.

The Pink Book cost of Una-Hamirpur rail line is Rs 2850 crore, but according to the DPR its cost is around Rs 5821 crore, which has now been reduced to Rs 3687 crore.

Entrepreneurs of the State Hope to Reduce Government Deficit

Industrial sector BBN is expected to reduce the new government deficit from the Union Budget. Industrialists said that there should be a reduction in commercial interest rates after inflation is under control.

Keeping in mind the global recession, government money should be put to good use in strengthening the infrastructure.

Provision of more budget should be made for bulk drug, medical device park and railway project of the central government.

Shailesh Agarwal, former president of BBNIA, said that there should be a budget provision in the Union Budget for the subsidy received under the IDC scheme.

BBNIA President Rajendra Guleria said that a policy should be made for the upliftment of the manufacturing sector. More money should be given to the railway project.

They demanded to increase the income tax limit to five lakhs. Demanded reduction in income tax slab as well.

Doon BJP vice-president and truck operator Krishna Kumar Kaushal said that the central government should reduce the toll on trucks. Diesel and petrol should be brought under the ambit of GST.
