CM Sukhu announces Government ministers will in Congress Bhavan listen to people's problems

Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that now ministers would regularly sit at the party headquarters and listen to people’s problems.

Regular meetings will be held in the coming days. He said that this step would further strengthen the coordination between the government and the organization. He said that the first meeting has been held.

This will help in quick and effective resolution of various problems of party workers. He said that this step has been taken after consultation with Congress State President Pratibha Singh.

The Chief Minister himself took initiative in this regard by reaching Rajiv Bhavan today and was present in the party office for about three hours.

During this, he met the delegations, party workers and common people from different parts of the state, listened to their problems and solved most of them on the spot.

Interacting informally with the media representatives on the occasion, the Chief Minister reiterated that the state government was determined to fulfill all the ten guarantees given by the Congress party in the general elections to the state assembly.

He said that in the very first meeting of the cabinet, OPS has been implemented in the state, which has benefited more than one lakh 36 thousand government employees.

He said that all other guarantees would also be fulfilled in a phased manner. He said that with a view to provide quality education to the students, Rajiv Gandhi Day Boarding Schools would be opened in each assembly constituency of the state.

Electricity Board’s Coffers Empty after Giving Salary-Pension; Payment of 190 crores, Subsidy not Received from the Government

Electricity may become expensive in Himachal from April 1

The financial crisis of the Electricity Board has not been averted. The board has not paid the subsidy received from government till the last day of February and due to this, the board has stopped all its expenditure.

The board has earmarked the entire revenue for the month of February on salary and pension. The board has paid a salary and pension from the fund of about Rs 190 crore by stopping other expenses.

The main source of revenue with the board is the payment of consumers who consume more than 125 units of electricity and the board spends this revenue on electricity purchases, field demand, and allowances of the employees, but this time the board has stopped all these purchases. About 190 crore rupees have been spent on 16 thousand employees and 29 thousand pensioners.

Apart from this, outsourced employees have been paid. Now in March, the subsidy of Rs 200 crore is paid by the state government, then the board will be in a position to pay the pending expenses.

It may be noted that in lieu of making 125 units of electricity free in the state, the state government has to pay a subsidy.

Till now the payment of the subsidy of Rs 200 crore is pending. Recently, the state government got a loan of Rs 1300 crore and after that, it was expected that the board would get Rs 200 crore from this amount, but the state government has not taken any decision till the last week of February on the payment of subsidy.

In such a situation, the board has to pay the salary and pension on March 1 from its own share.

As of now, the board is now waiting for subsidy from the state government to meet the expenses for the month of March.

The state government has guaranteed to take the scope of free electricity up to 300 units, but considering the current financial condition of the board, both the board management and the employees union have called upon the government to reconsider the decision.

Electricity Board’s Managing Director Pankaj Dadhwal told that talks are going on with the government on subsidy.

The subsidy is likely to be paid in the first week of March. The electricity board has paid salaries and pensions from the revenue raised in February. Other expenses will be met by the subsidy.

Cabinet Meeting will be Held Again Tomorrow; Discussion Possible on Denotifying School with Old Pension

Snowfall in the Higher Reaches of Kullu-Lahaul, 117 Roads and 139 Power Transformers Stalled

Atal Tunnel Rohtang has been closed for vehicular movement due to fresh snowfall. At the same time, the movement from Jalori Pass has also come to a standstill. 117 roads have been closed for traffic in the snowfall areas.

Apart from this, 139 power transformers and 10 drinking water schemes have also stalled. Maximum 106 roads are closed in Lahaul-Spiti. Seven roads are blocked in Chamba and two in Kullu district.

Similarly, till 10:00 am on Wednesday, 40 power transformers in Dalhousie sub-division, 28 in Kullu and 71 in Paonta Sahib sub-division were stalled. In Chamba, Bharmour, Lahaul and Udaipur sub-divisions, 10 drinking water schemes are also running obstructed.

Normal life has been affected in district Kullu due to snowfall since Tuesday night. Due to the fresh snowfall at both ends of the Atal Tunnel, the tunnel has been blocked for all types of vehicles.

At the same time, Highway-305 passing through Jalori Pass has also come to a standstill for traffic. 100 roads have also been closed in Kullu and Lahaul due to snowfall and landslides. Due to the weather, the miseries have again increased in the district.

A yellow alert has been issued by the Meteorological Center Shimla today for heavy rain and snowfall in some areas of the state. There is an alert for thunderstorms in some parts on March 2. The weather is expected to remain bad in many parts of the state till March 5.

Rain was recorded in Shimla on Wednesday morning. Now the clouds are also covered with sunshine. Kufri, Narkanda, Khadapathar also received light snowfall since morning, though vehicular movement remained normal.

Cabinet Meeting Today, Many Big Decisions Expected

Earlier an amount of Rs 1400 crore has been spent and due to leaving the work in the middle of the IL&FS company, the tender was held again. Now the budget of 2.5 thousand crore rupees is being spent on the construction of four lanes.

This work will be completed within the next two-three months and the distance will be reduced by 25 to 26 kilometers after the introduction of the four-lane. Along with this, the journey will also be pleasant. Many tunnels and bridges are being built on the four-lane.

Regular updates are being taken on the completion of time-bound work. Regarding the Disha meeting, Anurag Thakur said that the meeting took place in a very cordial atmosphere.

In such a situation, instructions have been issued by the Controller of Examinations to all the colleges that all the colleges will approve the registration of the students at their own level so that the students do not face any kind of problem due to this.

HPU does not have the option to proceed with the process without the registration of the student from the college. In such a situation, it is necessary that the college in which the student is studying, he has to register there.

However, according to the rules that have been set for this, the college will give admission to the students.

University administration will not be responsible for any problem faced by the student. All the colleges have been told to register the students only after checking their complete records.

Along with this, the recognition of the college in which the student is admitted should also be checked. Many types of cases of non-registration of students in colleges have come to the fore.

Because of this, students have to go round the university everyday. In such a situation, these instructions have now been issued to the principals belonging to all degree colleges.

Without a registration number, neither the student can appear in the examination nor he/she is considered a student of the concerned college. Once applied, this number is valid till the completion of the student’s university studies.

CM Sukhu will Finalize Agenda Today, Decision on School- Colleges Possible with Old Pension Draft

Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu is returning to Shimla from Delhi on Tuesday morning. He is returning to the capital after a break of about a week.

On reaching Shimla, he will first attend the annual program of Chhota Shimla School, where he himself has studied. After this, the Chief Minister will come to the secretariat and will remain in the secretariat till night.

During this, along with the disposal of pending files, the Chief Minister will talk on the agenda of the cabinet meeting to be held on March 1. In the previous cabinet too, a day before, the Chief Minister had given instructions as to which agenda should be brought in the cabinet.

After disbanding the Hamirpur Staff Selection Commission, the matter of giving Class III vacancies to the Public Service Commission may also come up for agenda in the cabinet.

However, for this, the reply is still awaited from the Public Service Commission. Overall, people have high expectations from this cabinet meeting being held before the budget session.

CM will Take a Decision on JOA-817 also

After the Hamirpur paper leak case, the stir regarding Junior Office Assistant Post Code-817 has intensified.

On the one hand, the Personnel Department is seeking information related to this from the Vigilance Bureau, on the other hand, on March 1, 817 candidates are coming to Shimla to meet the Chief Minister.

On the basis of the status report of the Vigilance Bureau, the Advocate General has replied in the Supreme Court in this matter.

The Vigilance Bureau has called 73 candidates for this recruitment exam for questioning because they came in contact with the arrested people. The state government is yet to take a decision regarding this recruitment exam.

One of Eight National Highways got Forest Clearance Approval; Seven Projects will have to Wait

Only one of the eight National Highway projects in Himachal has got forest clearance while seven others have been put on hold till the next meeting.

The projects which have not been approved will now be discussed in March, while the work of the only project after approval will start now.

The last part of the highway from Kanthlighat to Dhalli is to be constructed in two parts. In the first part, the process of forest clearance from Kanthlighat to Shakral has been completed.

There is no obstacle left in the construction of this part. It may be noted that the total length of this part being converted into a four-lane is 17.465 km and the road is to be constructed at a cost of Rs 1844.77 crore.

Two tunnels and 20 bridges come in this route and apart from this, an underpass and a major junction will also be constructed.

It is noteworthy that the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) had completed the tender process for the construction of the National Highway on July 11, 2022.

This process is completed for both phases. Of these, about 11 km of National Highway is to be constructed from Shakral to Dhalli.

A budget of Rs 2070 crore has been kept for this. Three tunnels and seven bridges will be constructed in this part.

These include a three Qutub Minar-sized extra-dose bridge, while a tunnel will be built just below Sanjauli Bazaar and it will be the biggest tunnel of the entire route.

Its other end will open into Dhalli however, this part of the National Highway has not yet been approved and now it may take another month to start the work here.

On the other hand, after getting approval from Kanthlighat to Shakral in the first phase, now the process of construction of this part will start.

In fact, the firm which has been given the tender for construction by NHAI has to complete this route in the next three years and the time limit for construction will be counted from the first day of commencement of work.

NHAI had prepared a plan to start this project in January, but due to the non-receipt of forest clearance, there has been a delay of two months.

There are still six other projects, on which the decision will now be taken in the next meeting of the Forest and Environment Department.

Construction Directly after Clearance

After the forest clearance, now the construction of the National Highway will start directly, whereas earlier the file had to be sent to the Supreme Court for final approval.

This process used to take one to two years and delayed the start of the project, but in June last year, the Supreme Court removed this arrangement on a petition by NHAI.

Now the State Forest Department and the Forest and Environment Department of the Center are considered to have the final approval to start the work.

In such a situation, after forest clearance, NHAI is free to start the work of National Highway.

Kangra, Hamirpur, and Mandi have to Atill Wait

The wait for forest clearance for the construction of four-lanes on the Shimla-Mataur and Pathankot-Mandi National Highways has further increased.

This time, four projects of Shimla-Mataur, two of Pathankot-Mandi, and two of Kanthlighat-Dhalli were engaged for forest clearance, but out of these eight cases, one has been approved, while the decision on seven others will now be taken next month.

Charging Stations to be Installed Soon at 107 Places, Transport Department Completes Transfer of Land

The Transport Department has completed the process of transfer of land at 107 places for charging stations to be built for electric vehicles in Himachal. Now the process to install charging stations on behalf of EESL i.e. Energy Efficiency Service Limited Company will be started soon at these places.

The Transport Department has ordered the company to start the process of setting up charging stations at these places soon. To promote electric vehicles in Himachal Pradesh, a network of charging stations is being prepared.

Charging stations are to be installed at more than 700 places across the state. The Transport Department had issued orders to the DCs of all the districts regarding marking the place for the charging station in the state.

In this, it was said that a place should be identified for setting up charging stations in all the districts of the state. In this situation, more than 700 places in all the districts have been identified for setting up charging stations.

Meanwhile, 19 vehicles of the Transport Department have been replaced with electric vehicles. With this, Himachal Transport Department has become the first such department in the country, under which all the vehicles coming under it are e-electric.

Diesel vehicles present with the Transport Department will not be auctioned for the time being. He has been placed in the Department of Transport reserve pool.

At the same time, the responsibility of setting up charging stations in the state has been given to the Energy Efficiency Service Limited Company.

The Transport Department has shared with the company the details of the places identified for the charging stations by the District Deputy Commissioners. The company is now looking at the feasibility there.

The specialty of this temple is that it is visible only for four months and remains submerged in water for eight months. This temple has been built in a very mysterious and wonderful way.

Many folklores are famous in the origin of this temple. According to local beliefs, this temple was built by the local kings who ruled the region.

According to some beliefs, this temple was built by the Pandavas. It is said that the Pandavas laid the foundation stone for its construction. From this temple the Pandavas tried to make a ladder to reach heaven but he lacked sufficient and proper time.

For this, the Pandavas sought help from Shri Krishna. According to Krishna, it was to be constructed at night only, that’s why there was no morning for six months.

That is, the night lasted for six months, but even in that time, the Pandavas were not able to make the stairs to heaven and two and a half steps were left to be made.

The stairs are still present in this temple. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. The idols of Lord Ganesha and Vishnu have also been installed in it. When the water recedes in this temple then one can reach this temple in a boat.

There is also a belief about the temple that when the sun sets, the sun’s rays touch the Shivling located in this temple. The main shrine in this temple is the Shivling. Tourists come not only from India but also from abroad to visit this temple.

This place is also famous for being the abode of migratory birds. Birds are found here in large numbers which attract tourists. The view around the temple is very beautiful.

The water around the temple and the group of temples in the middle look amazing and beautiful. This temple can be reached by road coming through Jwali tehsil of Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh. It is situated at a distance of about 16 kms.

The Trial of Four Panoramic Coaches will be Done Soon, will Reach in Kalka in March

Holiday special train will run on the Kalka-Shimla Track from the first week of May

There is good news for the tourists who enjoy the toy train on the Kalka-Shimla railway included in the world heritage. Tourists desirous of traveling to valleys will be seen traveling from Kalka to Shimla in special panoramic coaches this year itself.

After the successful trial of two coaches, the four coaches which are to be trialed will reach Kalka railway station in March. After some time their trial will be started.

According to the officials, when the train with panoramic coaches passes on the Kalka-Shimla railway line it will look like the Bernina Express of Switzerland.

The look of these coaches is like the Bernina Express of Switzerland which runs on a mountain rail track. Tourists will have a different experience in traveling to the mountains in the said coach.

According to railway officials, Rail Coach Factory Kapurthala was entrusted with the project of modernization of coaches of Kalka-Shimla Narrow Gauge (UNESCO World Heritage Site) by the Indian Railways sometime back.

No digital data was available for modeling of narrow-gauge track for design development and testing of these coaches.

Despite this, the design team of RCF tried to develop the design of rail coaches for the broad gauge system of Indian Railways.

For this, the RCF design team prepared a 3D model using old blueprints and sketches available at Kalka Workshop. After this, the further process was completed.

In the first phase, the trial of the two coaches (shells) that were launched on the Kalka-Shimla rail route was successful. Now four panoramic coaches will reach Kalka in March. After this they will be trialed by the RDSO team. – Mandeep Singh Bhatia, DRM, Ambala Railway Division

RDSO team will do trial

According to railway officials, the design and production team of RCF has in-house manufactured all the necessary resources like new design shell jigs, lifting tackle, static test jigs, narrow gauge line, and loading gauge for manufacturing these coaches.

After getting approval from the Railway Board, two prototype shells were manufactured. These were tested by RDSO Lucknow in October 2022 at RCF.

These two coaches (shells) (such as chair car and power car) were taken to Kalka, where the carrying capacity of the coach was also tested by filling sandbags with high and low speeds.

After the successful acclimatization trials of these two coach shells in December last year, Rail Coach Factory is now preparing to start final trials of new design panoramic narrow gauge coaches for Kapurthala Kalka-Shimla.

For this, all four types of AC executive chair car, AC chair car, non-AC chair car, and power cum luggage coach will soon be put through a detailed acclimatization trial by RDSO Lucknow.

After the success of this detailed oscillation trial and further approval, RCF will start phased production of these new panoramic coaches.

There will be seven coaches in each train

RCF will manufacture 30 state-of-the-art narrow gauge panoramic coaches including twelve seater 6 first class AC chair cars, 24 seater AC 6 chair cars, 30 seater 13 non-AC chair cars, and 5 power/luggage/guard vans.

It will be equipped with state-of-the-art features. These include lightweight shells with upgraded bogies and an improved brake system.

These coaches will have panoramic wide-view window design so that passengers can experience the beauty of mountains and valleys.

These coaches will also be equipped with modern security features like CCTV and fire alarm. Each train of such coaches will have seven coaches including 6 passenger coaches and one power/luggage/guard van.

They say that UltraTech issued a notification to cut freight by 41 paise on Saturday, which is not acceptable to the truck operators of Baga.

Like Adani company, Ultratech company will now pay Rs 10.30 freight per metric ton per kilometer and at the same time, only Rs 5.15 will be given in the plains.

Earlier, the truck operator of Ultratech Company in Baga was being given freight of Rs 10.71. An emergency meeting of truck operators of Baga’s UltraTech Operator Coordination Committee was held at Shalughat on Sunday.

The meeting was presided over by Captain Bhagat Ram, Chairman of the Coordination Committee of the Sabha. The members said that after Adani Cement Company, now Ultratech Company has also decided to reduce the cement freight.

Truck operators protested in the meeting regarding this and also rejected the company’s decision to cut fares.

Daulat Singh Thakur, General Secretary of UltraTech Coordination Committee, said that the members said in the meeting that without the consent of the truck operators, the company has implemented the new freight charges, which is not acceptable to the transport unions.

Now a meeting has been called at Shalughat on Monday, February 27 at 11 am. This will include members of the coordination committee and truck operators.

Truck operators of various gatherings including Surjit Sen, Sanjeev Sharma, Chaman Lal, Parmanand, Captain Surendra Kumar were present on this occasion.

On the other hand, the representatives of all the associations working in UltraTech Cement Management have written a letter to the company management saying that the freight mail sent by the company management to the representatives of the associations working in the cement industry is not valid. Vehicles will Run on Kiratpur-Nerchowk Four-lane from May 1st

The important thing is that the central government has set a target until June 2024 to complete the four-laning from Garamora to Bhawana in Mandi, but the producer company Gabar Construction Company has set a target to complete the work a year earlier.

After the construction of four lanes, the distance from Kainchimod to Bilaspur will be only 22 kilometers. With the construction of this four-lane, the journey from Bilaspur to Kiratpur via Kainchimod will become easy and pleasant.

At present, it takes two hours from Bilaspur to Garamora via Swarghat, but this journey will be reduced to half an hour. Five tunnels are being constructed in this four-lane of a total of 47 km.

The construction of 48 small and big bridges is undergoing on this four-lane, in which about 18 out of 22 main bridges have been completed and the work of 6 big bridges is going on rapidly.

Apart from this, out of 16 minor bridges, 14 bridges have been completed and the remaining 2 bridges are under construction, for which all possible efforts are being made by the company to complete the construction work in time.

Colonel BS Chauhan, general manager of Gabar Construction, the manufacturer of this four-lane, said that all five tunnels are ready and now mechanical and electrical work is going on inside the tunnel.

The four-lane road is also almost ready, although some work is pending in between. However, there is an effort to fully open the four-lane for traffic from May 1.

Bilaspur Deputy Commissioner Abid Hussain Sadiq said that four-laning would be started from May 1. Colonel BS Chauhan, general manager of the producer company, has been called to Bilaspur on Monday.

Complete feedback on the progress so far will be taken after the meeting and soon the construction site of the four-lane will be visited.

Futta Saur- A Mountain of 12 Lakes which is also called Paradise among Trekking lovers.

The trend of youth is increasing day by day towards trekking on the mountains. Many people like to go on trekking with friends, while many youths are very fond of trekking alone.

There are many famous treks around Manali in Himachal Pradesh, but Futta Saur Trek Manali stands out among them all.

Futta Saur is also known as the Mountain of Lakes. This place is considered as a paradise among trekking lovers.

About 15 km from Manali, Futta Saur Mountain is in the Pir Panjal mountain range. There are 12 lakes on this trek and each lake has its own unique beauty.

The most famous of all these lakes is Futta Saur, after which the mountain is named. According to local beliefs, sage Jamdagni used to do penance here in ancient times.

Despite it being summer, there are places covered with snow in this trek. It is said that many types of herbs are also found on this trek.

For the Futta Saur Trek, one has to land at a place named Patlikuhal, about 15 km before Manali. After that one has to take a train to Haripur from there.

The trek to Futta Saur Mountain begins from a village named Soyal, located at some distance from here.

Haripur has a temperature of about 20 degree Celsius in summer. But as you progress on the trek, the temperature can even reach zero.

So one should go with complete preparation for winter. Most of the tourists do this trek in groups under the leadership of trained tour guides. Most tour guides keep this trek for five nights.

On the first day of trekking, the first camp is reached after about five hours of ascent from Soyal village with a visit to Jamdagni Rishi and Kabir Mandir. Where the first night is spent.

Trekking is done on the second day through the beautiful oak forests. A unique view of sunrise and sunset is seen from here.

On the third day, we reach the next camp through the forests of Sanobar, Buransh and Juniper. In the fourth day of trekking, beautiful views of the lakes are seen.

Visiting different lakes, after reaching Futta Saur Lake, return to the third camp on the same day.

Night stay is done after coming to the camp on the fifth day. On the sixth day trekkers first go to Haripur and then from there they can come to Patlikuhal and take a bus.

How To Reach Futta Saur

For Futta Saur first one has to reach Haripur village. Trekking starts from a village named Soil located at some distance ahead.

Before any bus coming to Manali one has to reach Patlikuhal. All types of buses ply from Delhi to Manali including Volvo.

Those coming from other places will also have to come a little ahead of Kullu and get down at Patlikuhal. Bhuntar Airport of Kullu can be reached by air travel.

Next will have to come by road. The nearest railway station is at Joginder Nagar, about 150 km away from here. Which is connected to the main line at Pathankot through narrow gauge.

Former Secretary of Staff Selection Commission will be Prosecuted, the State Government has Given Sanction for Prosecution

In this, senior assistant of the commission’s confidential branch Uma Azad, her two sons Nitin and Nikhil, broker Sanjeev Kumar, his brother Shashipal, two candidates Tanu and Ajay Sharma, and another Neeraj Kumar have been made accused.

This paper leak scam was going on in the commission for three years. The secretary of the commission is also under suspicion in the vigilance investigation.

Vigilance had sought permission from the government to prosecute them. Now the government has given sanction to prosecute the officer.

State Public Service Commission is Studying the Government’s Notification

The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission is studying the notification of the dissolution of the State Staff Selection Commission on behalf of the State Government.
